Chief Thomas N. Culpepper of the Cartersville Police Department has advised that Investigators have made an arrest in connection with a rash of entering autos that occurred between July 12, 2015 thru July 16, 2015 in the Waterford, Wellington and Carter Grove subdivisions. To date, investigators have arrested one adult and 7 felony warrants have been issued for the arrest of a second suspect. Investigators expect to file additional charges, as this investigation is on-going. The Cartersville Police Department is urging residents in these subdivisions to inspect their vehicles to insure that they have not been victimized, since some of the stolen property yet to be reported by the owners.

Maxwell Hatcher McGinnis
17 years of age
Charges: 7 counts of theft/entering auto (felony)
