Accident summary from the Georgia State Patrol
On December 26, at approximately 10:15 a.m., a 2002 Honda Accord traveling westbound on Cassville Rd., stopped at the intersection of GA 3. A 1999 Honda Goldwing motorcycle was traveling north on GA 3. The Accord failed to yield the right of way and pulled out into the path of the motorcycle. The motorcycle struck the driver’s side front with its front end. The driver of the Accord, John N. Morgan, age 21 from Dallas, advised that he did not see the motorcycle. Morgan was charged with Failure to Yield at Intersection of Roadways. Morgan was injured, but not transported.
The operator of the motorcycle, Charles D. Westbrook, age 66 from Acworth, was injured and transported to Floyd Medical Center.
