The Cartersville Public Library is partnering with Girls Who Code to start a FREE Girls Who Code Club in January 2018. Girls Who Code in a nationwide initiative to help close the gender gap in technology by providing a place where girls can learn computer science concepts through lessons in programming language using their interests in art, game design and storytelling. Girls will work together in teams to create a computer science impact project to help solve real world problems.
The program is open to girls in 6th—12th grade. The FREE 15-week session starts Thursday, January 25th and runs through May 10th. There will be no class over Spring Break. Classes will be held Thursdays from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m. Signups are limited and registration is required.
