Two guest speakers will present during the Moving Forward: Men and Women in the 21st Century Workplace” at the Georgia Highlands College Cartersville site on March 27.

The event will take place from 9AM to noon, and costs $59 to attend or $49 for members of the Cartersville Chamber of Commerce.

Topics will cover how to avoid career-ending scandals and provide workplaces free of gender harassment. After short presentations, both speakers will answer questions from participants.

The Presenters:

C.R. Wright is a partner at Fisher & Phillips, where he advises clients on general labor and employment issues, handles employment-related litigation, and presents training seminars for managers and supervisors. C.R. also handles OSHA inspections, affirmative action audits, charges of discrimination, and wage and hour investigations. C.R. graduated from Georgia State University’s Law School where he was editor-in-chief of the Georgia State Law Review. Prior to joining Fisher and Philips, C.R. worked in human resources for Lockheed Corporation. He was also a police officer for seven years with the Cobb County Police Department where he attained the rank of Sergeant. C.R. has presented several times during the H.R. Academy held at the Chamber.

M. Faye McCord has practiced law for over 25 years and has represented victims of gender-based harassment. Faye’s focuses on civil litigation, including probate, domestic relations and family law including juvenile court and superior court as well as criminal law. She is a graduate of Georgia State University’s Law School and has been actively involved in our community through her work at Tranquility House and Juvenile Court as a guardian at litem.
