WHAT:         As part of its integrated roadside vegetation management program, Georgia DOT Maintenance crews resume today through Friday their work on trimming overgrown vegetation along  State Route (SR) 61 and SR 293 in Bartow County, SR 157 in Chattooga County, Interstate 575 and SR 20 in Cherokee County, and SR 136 and SR 151 in Walker County.  Work will proceed daily between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m., weather permitting. Integrated roadside vegetation management is a method to bring together social and cultural elements, biological concerns, and mechanical treatments to economically manage roadsides for motorist safety, environmental health and visual quality.

 WHEN:          Tuesday, September 2 through Friday, September 5, 2014 from 7:30 a.m. until 5:30 p.m.
