ATLANTA – The Georgia Department of Labor (GDOL) will help a staffing company, Aerotek Commercial Staffing, fill more than 70 jobs for manufacturing workers in Cedartown next week.
The recruitment will be held Thursday, Feb. 13, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the GDOL’s Cedartown Career Center, 262 North Park Blvd.
Aerotek is recruiting for The Hon Company of Cedartown, a manufacturer of metal office furniture. Jobs are available for assembly-line workers, machine and fork lift operators, welders, and painters. Salaries begin at $10.50 an hour for all jobs.
Due to federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations, applicants must be at least 18 years old. Fork lift operators must have at least two years experience, while other manufacturing workers must have at least one year manufacturing experience.
Qualified applicants will complete a company application at the recruitment and interviews will be scheduled at a later date.
The company will conduct a drug-screening test and seven-year background check of selected applicants.
