ATLANTA –The Georgia Department of Labor (GDOL) will help FieldTurf hire about 30 employees Friday and Saturday, Jan. 8-9, to work at its manufacturing plant in Calhoun. The company manufactures synthetic turf for athletic fields.

The recruitment will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at FieldTurf Tarkett Sports located at 175 North Industrial Blvd. in Calhoun. GDOL staff will be on hand to assist the applicants prior to interviews with the company.

The company is hiring warehouse lift-truck operators, coater operators, tufting machine operators, tufting crew leaders and warehouse inventory clerks.

Due to U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations, applicants must be at least 18 years old. They must also have a high school diploma or a General Education Diploma (GED). Depending on the position, experience ranges from six months to two years.

Salaries range from $10 to $17 an hour, depending on the position. The company will conduct background checks and drug-screening tests on selected applicants.
