Work has just begun on resurfacing Interstate 75 in Bartow County. The project includes 28.9 miles of milling and plant mix resurfacing on I-75, beginning north of Glade Road/Exit 278 and extending to Chatsworth Highway/Exit 293 in Bartow County.

The Georgia Department of Transportation contractor will perform the paving work mostly at night. Nightly lane closures on this portion of I-75 will be scheduled as follows:

• Single lane closures will be allowed on weeknights between the hours of 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. Monday through Friday.

• Single lane closures will be allowed on weekends from 7 p.m. Friday night until 6 a.m. on Monday morning.

• Double lane closures will be allowed when necessary on weeknights between the hours of 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. Monday through Sunday.

• Single ramp closures will be allowed when needed only between the hours of 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. In case of any ramp closures, Georgia DOT will inform the media and traveling public of the planned alternate routes 7-10 days prior to any ramp work.

Motorists are cautioned to reduce their speed while traveling through this work zone. Please pay attention, exercise caution, and watch for workers.

This project is scheduled to be completed by the end of April 2019, at a construction cost of little over $13 million.
