Emergency crews responded to a motorcycle accident at 6:20 pm Friday. The accident occurred on Sewell Road near the Bartow / Polk county line. According to Brad Cothran with Bartow EMS,crews found 2 patients. The first, a 58 year old male , during the exam he was found to have head and chest trauma with respiratory distress. A medical helicopter was requested for transport to a level 1 trauma center. The second patient, a 13 year old female passenger on the motorcycle was conscious and alert with abrasions. The female was transported to Floyd medical.
