According to Brad Cothran with Bartow EMS, the multi vehicle crash occurred at 3:25 a.m. just below Main Street. The accident occurred in the southbound lane and. and shut down the interstate. Four people were transported to Cartersville Medical Center to be treated for injures. A male between 30 and 40 years of age was trapped in the vehicle. Once removed from the car he was transported to the hospital with numerous trauma injuries. He later died a the hospital. His identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
