A vehicle and foot place took place in Cartersville on Monday night. A Cartersville Police Officer conducted a traffic stop on a black Honda Civic on Joe Frank Harris Parkway near East Main Street for a tag light violation. When the officer reached the driver side window, the vehicle drove off.
The vehicle fled down South Morningside Drive toward East Main Street, into the Academy Sports parking lot, and towards the rear of the store. After all the tires were flattened from driving over curbs, the driver jumped out and fled on foot. He ran into the woods behind the Post Office and got away.
The suspect is a white male with a beard or goatee wearing a white jacket and blue jeans.
A search of his vehicle located a clear bag of suspected methamphetamine, three pills, a meth pipe, and two mobile phones.
