Two people are arrested on drug charges following a death investigation conducted by the Cartersville Police Department. Officers were called to an apartment AT 370 Old Mill Road Saturday around 3:30. They found the body of 26 year old Ashley Nicole harris. Police arrested 43 year old Vanessa Chambliss Strong and 33 year old Ronnie Clinton Strong. warrants have been taken for 26 year old Bryant Lavon Chambliss. Captain Mark Camp with the Cartersville Police Department says the three will not be charged with Harris’ death.
According to reports, Ronnie Strong told police that Harris was fine before excusing herself to take a bath. She was later found unconscious and under water in the bath tub. Vanessa and Ronnie Strong were charged with possession of marijuana. Bryant Chambliss is being charged with possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute, possession of methamphetamine with the intent to distribute and possession of a schedule four drug with the intent to distribute.
