It took a jury most of the day to return a verdict for two people charged with rape, child molestation, and trafficking.  Co-defendants Jennifer Lea Short and Javier Murrieta were both found guilty of child molestation.  They were found not guilty of rape and trafficking.  The victim told the jury that Murietta assaulted her at his Atco home when was 11 years old.  She said Short was paid $100 to take her there.  She waited 6 years before making a report with police. Both Murietta and Short were arrested last November. Sentencing is scheduled for November 19th.
