The Cartersville Fire Department responded to the Chili’s in Cartersville for a call concerning smoke on the roof of the restaurant. According to Chili’s patrons at the time, no one was forced to evacuate the restaurant until the incident escalated. According to the fire department, there was a fire inside the wall in the back kitchen area, which ran up the wall and into the ceiling. Firefighters cut a hole in wall and ceiling to extinguish the blaze. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
