Press Release

CARTERSVILLE, Ga., September 10, 2018 – On Tuesday, September 4, Cartersville City Schools released a new application to students, parents and the community. The app gives parents and students the opportunity to have access to many important school-related items and information in one place. Parents can access their student’s grades, attendance and cafeteria balance. School calendars, lunch menus, email, news and notifications are available through the app. Parents can set thresholds for their children’s cafeteria balance and grades. If the cafeteria balance or grade drops below the established threshold, parents will receive a notification through the app. Parents and staff members can also add money to cafeteria accounts from the app. Staff members will find the app useful as well. They can access the absence management system, PowerSchool, the teacher messaging system and payroll documents. The community can access school calendars and news by using the app.

An added benefit is the customization options that allow users to select the schools and the information they would like to receive. Users can also define how they are informed by choosing from text messages, phone calls, push notifications to the app and emails.

Superintendent Marc Feuerbach said, “In today’s world it is important to offer our stakeholders an avenue to easily stay connected to the school system. We believe the features of the app will help busy families to be informed of important school events and news while putting beneficial resources in one place.”

The free app can be downloaded in the Google Play Store for Android users and the in App Store for Apple users by searching Cartersville City Schools. A complete guide to customizing the app can be found on the Cartersville City Schools website under District Announcements.
