FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE…
The Cartersville School Board of Education met in regular session on Monday, September 9, 2019.
The Presentation of the Colors and Pledge of Allegiance was presented by CHS JROTC students.
The Character Word for the Month is Responsibility: Being accountable for what we say and do.
Having a sense of duty to fulfill tasks with reliability, punctuality, dependability, and commitment.
The Matthew Hill-Michael Dean HEARTS Employee of the Month for September (Service) is Ms. Billie Williamson, the lead custodian at Cartersville Primary School. Billie Williamson’s positive attitude, her smiling face and her high expectations for cleanliness are huge assets to Cartersville Primary School. She goes above and beyond her job description to ensure students have a clean, safe learning environment. She makes herself available and does whatever it takes to satisfy the needs of others, even if it causes more work for her. Ms. Billie’s heart is in it every day!
New Frontier of Bartow County, Inc. proudly sponsors the Hill-Dean HEARTS Employee of
the Month Award and Billie will receive a $50.00 gift certificate to Appalachian Grill, along with her name
being added to a perpetual plaque displayed at the Cartersville Board Office.
