Cartersville School Officials sent this message to parents Friday Morning.
Dear CMS Parents, Students, and Staff,
This morning a CMS student brought an unloaded BB gun to school. Our school resource officer and CMS administrators were notified right away and took immediate action. At no time were any students or staff in any danger, and the situation has been resolved without incident.
Even though this was an unloaded BB gun, we still take the matter very seriously and will take appropriate action. Safety is our number one concern at Cartersville Middle School. We will continue to be alert and vigilant in maintaining a safe and secure environment for all our students and staff.
