The Cartersville Purple Hurricanes (6-0, 2-0) defeated the Central-Carroll Lions (0-6, 0-2) on Friday night by the score of 59-9.
The Canes scored early and often in the game on both the offensive and defensive side of the field. Trey Creamer scored a rushing touchdown early and Avery Showell had a touchdown reception and a fumble return for a touchdown before the first quarter had been completed. Cartersville led by a score of 45-6 before the half.
Cartersville worked with a short field the entire night and made the most of its opportunities. Creamer had two touchdowns, Showell had two touchdowns and Trevor Lawrence had three total touchdowns, two through the air and one on the ground en route to the 50 point victory.
