The Cartersville Fire and Police departments are seeking information about a fire that occurred at 152 Jones Street on the night of July 6th around 12:30 A.M.

According to Cartersville Fire Marshal Mark Hathaway, “The residence was vacant and all utilities had been disconnected. The building was boarded up but the owners have been dealing with vagrancy issues for some time and there were several open doors on the night the fire occurred. A witness saw a red truck with four white males stopped in the area of the residence shortly before the fire broke out.”

Cartersville Fire Department has teamed up with Georgia Arson Control in order to help gather information about this fire. Georgia Arson Control is assisting fire investigators and law enforcement by offering a reward for up to $10,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those who commit arson.
