The Woodland Wildcats (2-3, 1-2) dropped their second game in as many weeks with a 41-6 loss to the Carrollton Trojans on Friday night.

The Trojans scored and then converted a 2-point conversion with 5:35 left in the first quarter. Just after the second quarter started, Woodland had a punt blocked and it was promptly returned by Andy Smith for a touchdown and a 15-0 Carrollton lead. Woodland quarterback Brody Williams would then throw an interception. A few plays later Carrollton’s Thomaston found the end zone and the Trojans took a 22-0 lead into the locker room at the half.

Carrollton would score another 13 points in the second half before Justice Carter, who saw his first action since being injured in Week 2, would end Woodlands seven-quarter scoreless drought with a 10-yard touchdown run. Carrollton would score once more before the Trojans would down the Wildcats 41-6.

Woodland will host Hiram next week at 7:30.
