A doctor at Cartersville Medical Center stated he was walking towards his 2018 Lincoln Navigator on Monday night and unlocked it by using an app on his phone. He said before he got to his vehicle, he saw it leave the parking lot. He stated the key fob was inside the SUV.
The vehicle was tracked and Bartow County deputies, Cartersville Police, Emerson Police, and surrounding law enforcement were notified.
A Paulding County deputy located the SUV and arrested 35-year-old Angel Sparks of Cartersville outside a residence in Dallas for theft by taking a motor vehicle. On the way to the Bartow County Jail, Sparks allegedly admitted to taking the SUV.
