The City of Cartersville Police Department has just apprehended three suspects in conjunction with several burglaries which occurred earlier this morning in Cartersville. Chief Thomas Culpepper has advised that Jeffrey Allan Lee, age 25; Alex Stephen Durley, age 25; and, Santanna Courtney Poppell, age 17, have been arrested. Charges are currently pending on the suspects. The suspects are suspected of committing at least two of this morning’s burglaries.

Title Pawn Advantage, 743 Joe Frank Harris Pkwy
Cartersville Muffler, 747 Joe Frank Harris Pkwy
Hilltop Liquors, 318 N. Dixie Ave
Grand China Restaurant, 416 Grassdale Road
Best China Restaurant, 12 Euharlee Rd
Cruz Auto, 1212 N. Tennessee St (in the county)

In addition, police are investigating a report of a stolen vehicle taken this morning from the lot of the Kangaroo Convenience Store located 902 Joe Frank Harris Pkwy.

Police suspect a different individual was responsible for one or more of the other burglaries. This person is still at large.

The suspects who have been arrested attempted to cash a stole check stolen from one of the businesses at the Century Bank on E. Main St. The suspects then went to Family Credit Union on Old Mill Road where they were apprehended.

Chief Culpepper stated, “This was excellent police work by our officers. We continue to investigate the other incidents and hope to have a resolution soon.”
