On Wednesday, at approximately 12:11 pm, dispatch notified an officer with the Adairsville Police Department about a missing person report.
The complainant stated that his son had been missing from the Hampton Inn since Monday.
Officers then responded to the Hampton Inn to review video surveillance and search in the immediate area on foot for the missing subject.
After searching the wooded area nearby, they located a body.
The officers then notified the investigators with the Adairsville Police Department and contacted the G.B.I. and Bartow County Coroner.
The body was removed from the wooded area and turned over to the coroner for further investigation.
The coroner identified the missing subject as 33-year-old Aaron Glenn Douglas Malone of Temple. Malone was the person whom they were seeking.
All preliminary evidence on the scene indicated an accidental fall may have been the cause of death.
Although no foul play was suspected, the Bartow County Coroner had decided to have an autopsy performed on the body at the state crime lab.
