It is with great sadness and heartache that the Bartow County Sheriff’s Office reports the loss of Deputy Matt Aliberti (age 39). He passed away at home Monday morning due to medical issues.
Deputy Aliberti served in the Army for six years before joining the Sheriff’s Office in 2016. Deputy Aliberti was a K-9 patrol officer and well as a SWAT member.
The BCSO states Deputy Aliberti always had a great attitude, a fun sense of humor, and was a true pleasure to work with.
He leaves behind a wife, Jessie Aliberti, daughters Michaela Aliberti (age seven), Delilah Aliberti (age two), and stepson Zackery Green (age 13).
The BCSO has placed his patrol vehicle at Zena Drive as a memorial for those who want to stop by and leave an encouraging card or flowers.
The BCSO asks that they and his family and friends be kept in thoughts and prayers in this difficult time.
