The Bartow County Sheriff’s Office announces the arrest of a local accountant in connection with more than fifty counts of theft.
According to Sheriff Clark Millsap, investigators with the Bartow County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division began to follow up on reported thefts of money from a homeowners association which occurred between July 2015 and August 2016. Gregory James Heath, 43, of Cartersville, is the owner of H & H Tax and Accounting which was the company employed by the H.O.A. for accounting duties. Records were obtained through the investigation that led to the arrest of Heath on February 1, 2017, for 60 counts of theft by taking of funds totaling almost $100,000. Heath was booked into the Bartow County Jail where he remains held on a $250,000 bond. No other arrests are expected in the investigation.
