Bartow County Fire & Emergency Services Respond to three fires over the Labor Day Holiday weekend.
8/30/2024 – At approximately 2:16 p.m. Bartow County Fire & Emergency Services were dispatched to 2453 Highway 113 SW, Taylorsville to a report of a residential structure fire. BCFES crews arrived on scene to find a single-family home 50% involved. Once crews were able to extinguish the fire, a fire investigator was called to the scene. The cause of the fire was deemed accidental. The home received major damage and there were no injuries reported.
8/30/2024 – At approximately 5:21 p.m. Bartow County Fire & Emergency Services were dispatched to 151 Hardwood Ridge Drive NW, Adairsville to a report of a residential structure fire. BCFES crews arrived on scene to find a two-story, single-family home with smoke and fire showing from the roof. The cause of the fire was deemed to be caused by a lightning strike. The home received moderate damage and there were no injuries reported.
9/1/2024 – At approximately 5:12 p.m. Bartow County Fire & Emergency Services were dispatched to 19 William Drive SE, Cartersville to a report of a residential structure fire. BCFES crews arrived on scene to find a single-family home with flames showing from the gas line. The cause of the fire was deemed to be caused by a lightning strike. The home received minor damage and there were no injuries reported.
