The Bartow County School System announced an exclusive partnership with Cartersville Medical Center during a work session at their central office Monday afternoon.

Cartersville Medical Center will be the healthcare sponsoring facility for the Center for Advanced Studies in Medical Sciences at Woodland High School.

During the upcoming school year, the school system anticipates the development of a comprehensive core curriculum based on recommendations from the medical center. Once complete, the specialized program will officially launch in August of 2020 with the first cohort of freshman magnet students.

All students in and around Bartow County can apply for acceptance into the Center for Advanced Studies in Medical Sciences at Woodland High School beginning this winter.
