Bartow County, GA – The Bartow County School System has released an official statement regarding their almost week-long districtwide internet outage.

“We are diligently working to restore full internet functionality for students and staff by next week, following a five-day service disruption. Our comprehensive investigation into this technical issue has revealed an attempt by an unauthorized external source to access a part of our information systems last weekend. We are collaborating with outside experts to determine if any information was accessed and/or compromised.

Data privacy and security are of the utmost importance to us. We remain committed to ensuring the integrity and security of the data entrusted to us. If we find that any sensitive personal information has been impacted by this incident, we will notify the affected individuals, as required by law.

Thank you for your patience as we work through this issue and the subsequent network outage. We are proud of our staff for quickly adapting to challenges and ensuring high levels of learning for all students. We will communicate all updates to you promptly and efficiently.”
