The next American Idol star may be in our midst!  A great way to take that first step towards stardom is by auditioning for Advocates for Children’s Every Child’s a Star talent show.

 

Auditions will take place on Tuesday, January 27, 2015, 6:00pm-8:00pm and Saturday, January 31, 2015 at Expedition Church, 32 Center Road, Cartersville, Georgia 30120.

 

Auditions are open to anyone in kindergarten, primary, elementary, middle or high school. Auditions are open to kids from Bartow County or any other location.

 

Those wanting to audition should attend one of two audition dates, bring a cd of accompaniment and be prepared to perform a two minute act of dance, drama, music (vocal or instrumental) or gymnastics.  Music and performance must be age appropriate, G-rated.

 

A panel of three judges will select thirty one acts (twenty one individual and ten group acts) to perform at Every Child’s a Star talent show to take place on March 27, 2015 at Cass High School Performing Arts Center. Participants are required to attend all rehearsals and are responsible for their own costumes.

 

Regina Gilbert and her son Thomas Gilbert have once again stepped up to volunteer their time and talents to help Advocates for Children bring this show to fruition for the 22nd year in a row.  Regina serves as producer while Thomas serves as the director. The Gilberts bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to the production and ensure every detailed is covered.
