L.A. Bailey
A suspect was arrested Monday almost seven months after a brutal assault in Bartow County.
24-year-old L.A. Chance Bailey of White allegedly threatened to kill his girlfriend and strangled her several times while she was driving north on Joe Frank Harris Parkway on March 15th.
When she finally pulled her vehicle over near Clear Lake Drive in between Cassville and Adairsville, Bailey allegedly grabbed her hair, forced her head onto his lap, and repeatedly punched her in the back of the head. After Bailey got out, he turned around and punched her several times in the face before fleeing the area. The rear view mirror was knocked off during the altercation.
Deputies and paramedics observed the victim to have marks on her neck, knots on the back of her head, lacerations on her lips, and a swollen left eye and cheek.
L.A. Bailey was arrested and booked into the county jail Monday morning for two counts of aggravated assault, battery, aggravated stalking, and criminal trespass.
