On January 4th, 2019 Officer C. Jones of the Adairsville Police Department discovered an odd vehicle passing through Adairsville. At the intersection of Hwy. 140 and Hwy. 41 he observed a gray Ford Taurus driving north which displayed a Georgia tag specific to trailers only. Ofc. Jones stopped the vehicle and contacted the driver, Ms. Alissa Garrett, age 39 of Aragon Georgia. A short time later a frisk search of her person and then her vehicle resulted in a large bag of suspected methamphetamine and a glass pipe being located. Ms. Garrett was booked into the Bartow County jail and faces several charges including possession of Methamphetamine and driving on a suspended license.
