A family member reported to the Bartow County Sheriff’s Office Monday afternoon at around 1:30 that 48-year-old Gregory Wayne Bridges was missing. He had last been seen at his residence on Sunday morning at around nine o’clock.
The family member explained Gregory had some recent medical problems and he had recently apologized to all the family for any wrong doings but he had not made any statements to harm himself or anyone else.
Bartow County EMS, Bartow County Fire, and Deputies with the Bartow County Sheriff’s Office responded to an abandoned house located on Carson Loop off of Cass White Road in Cartersville Tuesday afternoon at around one o’clock after a caller observed Gregory’s blue Volvo at the property. The body of Gregory Wayne Bridges was located inside the vehicle.
Preliminary investigation revealed that Gregory may have died from medical related issues. No foul play is suspected.
