Bartow County EMS responded to a private residence on Canter Lane (across Peeples Valley Road from Cartersville Country Club) to a male found in a swimming pool.
A Bartow County Sheriff’s deputy was the first responder on scene and removed the child from the pool. EMS and Bartow County Fire also went to the scene.
The male, who was between two and three years old, was unconscious and not breathing. Paramedics quickly realized that he had been in the water too long for resuscitation measures.
The Bartow County coroner has taken possession of the body. There is no further information at this time.
