According to scanner traffic, a vehicle hit a school bus around 7:30 Thursday morning at the intersection of Griffin Road and 2 Run Crossing. Bartow County EMS Public Information Officer Brad Cothran said that EMS is working a accident on Griffin Road, where a car struck a school bus. A medical helicopter has been requested for the driver of the car. Reports earlier stated the car caught fire but crews on the scene advised it did not.

Cothran said a 17-year-old male was driving on Griffin Road when his car slid into a school bus. The driver side of the car hit the front of the bus. The Male driver of the car is being flown to Grady hospital.

All kids on the bus were transferred to a different bus and are currently at school.
