An 18-year-old man was injured in an accident at the construction site next to Academy Sports and Outdoors this afternoon. The man was run over by a Bobcat loader.
Bartow County EMS arrived to find the man with numerous trauma injuries. The patient had injuries to his back, hips, and legs. EMS requested a helicopter for transport to a level one trauma center due to the severity of the injuries. The patient was flown to Atlanta Medical Center for treatment.
