A Chevrolet driven by 38-year-old Shantee Rogers one was traveling south on Charley Harper Drive Thursday, March 5th. A 2007 Freightliner truck driven by 36-year-old Andres Santiago Salazar was traveling east on Old Mill Road. The Chevrolet failed to stop at the stop sign at Old Mill Road and Charley Harper Drive. The truck made impact on the front of the Chevrolet. Area of impact was determined by driver’s statements and vehicle debris. Rogers was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle. The truck came to an uncontrolled rest against the curb on Old Mill road facing east. The truck traveled off Old Mill road and into a private drive at the Hannah Apartment Complex. The front of the Chevrolet then made impact with a stop sign, the Chevrolet came to an uncontrolled rest facing south off the shoulder of the roadway. Rogers was taken to Cartersville Medical, she died from her injuries.
