A trooper attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a white GMC pickup truck pulling a utility trailer near the Bartow/Floyd county line on Barnsley Garden Road. The truck did not stop. Another trooper deployed stop sticks in an attempt to end the pursuit. After striking the stop sticks, a third trooper, who was ahead of the pursuit, attempted to slow the violator and channel him to the shoulder, but the violator lost control of his vehicle, ran off the roadway and jack knifed the trailer he was pulling. The violator attempted to run on foot, but was taken into custody. The suspect was not injured and was transported to the Bartow County Jail. The investigation is continuing as the vehicle had been reported as stolen.
