A high-speed chase that began in Bartow Wednesday ends in Floyd County. According to reports with the Bartow County Sheriff’s Office, a patrol deputy attempted to stop a blue van for traffic offenses at Highway 113 and Ridgeland Drive. Two females exited the van at Old Highway 113 and Main Street in Taylorsville. The driver fled in the vehicle. The chase ended with a crash in Floyd County involving the van and a BCSO car. The patrol car received minor damage. The suspect was transported to an area hospital for treatment of minor injuries. The chase began just before 11 a.m. and ended just before noon.
