Rex Scott Cruce of Alabama was booked into the Bartow County Jail November 11, 2018. According to the jail docket, forty-seven-year-old, Rex Scott Cruce was indicted on the following charges: four counts of first-degree vehicular homicide, four counts of driving under the influence, possession of methamphetamine, driving with a suspended license, and failure to maintain lane. The accident occurred around 7 a.m. on I-75 near Highway 92 in Bartow County. According to reports, Cruce was traveling northbound and failed to maintain his lane. His Chevrolet Suburban traveled off the roadway and struck a tree. Cruce was transported to Kennestone Hospital to be treated for his injuries. His son, Twenty eight-year-old Jared Cruce of Lafayette was fatally injured in the crash.
