Brooke Hardy

Bartow County deputies arrested Brooke Hardy while hiding in a closet at her residence on Greatwood Drive in White on Thursday at 12:57 a.m. after a domestic altercation.

Complainants told the BCSO that while they were driving in the neighborhood heading home late Wednesday night, Hardy reached up from the back seat and began to strangle the juvenile driver as she drove. Hardy also punched the driver on her left cheek, dug her fingernails into her throat, and inhibited her ability to breathe.

When the adult front passenger tried to separate them, Hardy allegedly began to strangle her using an arm bar, causing a necklace to break off her neck. The fight continued once they arrived in their driveway.

Brooke Hardy was charged with battery, aggravated assault, and cruelty to children in the first degree for the attack on the driver; aggravated assault and criminal trespass for the attack on the front passenger; and cruelty to children in the third degree for allowing her one-year-old son in the backseat to witness the event.
