The Woodland Wildcats (2-2, 1-1) had their two-game winning streak snapped on Friday night with a 36-0 loss to Villa Rica.

The Wildcats had trouble moving past the big defensive line of Villa Rica all night and had trouble containing Phillip Zachery who compiled over 100 rushing yards on the night.

While the Wildcats had their winning streak snapped, the feel-good story is not over for 2017. The loss to Villa Rica certainly puts Woodland behind the 8-ball, but the team from the Banks of the Etowah still has six region games remaining to make some noise in 2017.

It doesn’t get any easier for Woodland next week, as it hits the road to play Carrollton at 7:30.
