The Adairsville Tigers (4-4, 2-3) fell to the Bremen Blue Devils (8-0, 5-0) on Friday night in a region contest that cut Adairsville out of the No. 2 seed in its sub-region.

The Tigers got on the board first thanks to a field goal by Josh Honea, but Bremen would answer with a field goal of its on its next drive. The Tigers would have a long touchdown drive in the second half that was capped with a Mason Boswell 2-yard touchdown run to give the Tigers a 10-3 lead.

Late in the second quarter, Adairsville would tack on three more points thanks to another Josh Honea field goal to give Adairsville a 10-point lead with 2:54 left in the second quarter. The Blue Devils would march down the field thanks to a 74-yard run by Tyron Dobbs that would set up a 1-yard touchdown run by quarterback Wade Cartright.

In the second half, Bremen would put up 21 unanswered points thanks to two touchdown passes from Cartright to Ben Barrow and Jordan Molelo, and a touchdown run from Dobbs.

With the loss, Adairsville will battle for the third playoff spot with Ringgold, which owns the tiebreaker over Adairsville with a head-to-head win.

Adairsville will hit the road next week to play Haralson County at 7:30. That game will air on WBHF.
