Bartow County EMS has been busy to start off Thursday morning, as it has responded to two accidents. WBHF spoke to EMS public information officer Brad Cothran about both accidents. The first accident occurred at Shaw Plant X on Highway 411 and involved a tow truck that was towing a heavy duty truck.

The tow truck left the roadway, struck several trees and stopped in a ditch. Cothran spoke about the condition of the driver of the tow truck, who was entrapped.

“He is conscious, but not alert. We keep asking him questions, but he can’t answer them correctly.

The driver was extricated and transported to Floyd Medical with lower extremity injuries.

Another accident occurred at the Aqufil plant parking lot.

“A black pick up truck has struck two individuals. Right now the only report I’m getting is one with leg pain and one with shoulder pain. We’re hoping that it’s not going to be worse than that.

Stay tuned to WBHF for more updates on these developing stories.
