The Woodland Wildcats (3-5, 2-4) fell to the East Paulding Raiders on Friday night by a score of 41-21.

Justice Carter scored on a 48-yard touchdown run on Woodland’s first possession, but East Paulding would then go on a 27-0 scoring run that would last into the third quarter. Tyrell Robinson was responsible for touchdown runs of 12 and 24 yards while John Estes threw a touchdown pass to Cole Brown.

At the half, East Paulding led 19-6, despite losing the time of possession battle. The Woodland secondary was getting burned on several gambles as East Paulding had drives of 86 and 93 yards.

Sandwiched between a Brody Williams 3-yard touchdown run were touchdown runs from Estes and Dominic Burnham to give East Paulding a 34-13 lead at the end of the third quarter.

East Paulding would score again, as would Williams and Woodland but the game had already been decided.

Woodland has a bye week next but is back in action on October 27th, when it hosts Kell.
