The Cass Colonels (0-8, 0-6) fell to Paulding County on Friday night by a score of 38-20.
The Patriots were led by Brantley Mauldin, who threw five touchdown passes in the game. At the half, Cass was down 31-7.
Cass quarterback Rhett Moore had a nice game of his own throwing three touchdown passes. He hit Tavares Varnum from seven yards out in the second quarter, Evan Hinton from 26 yards out in the third quarter, and Cameron Gonyea for a 19-yard strike in the fourth quarter.
Cass will be back next week when it hosts Villa Rica for a 7:30 kickoff on a game that can be heard on Bartow Sports Zone for the Johnny’s New York Style Pizza Bartow County Game of the Week.
