While the driver received terrible burns, he has been identified as Roderick Eubanks, 48, of Hephzibah.  According to Georgia State Patrol Reports, the crash occurred in White at approximately 6:40 a.m.  A tractor-trailer was travelling northbound on Highway 411.   A Ford passenger car was stopped in the right lane of the road on a hill crest for unknown reasons. The occupant of the passenger car was outside of the vehicle, inspecting the front of the car. The tractor-trailer struck the rear of the passenger car, sending the passenger car and the occupant to the right shoulder. The tractor-trailer continued traveling north and to the right shoulder where it struck a DOT sign and a power pole. The tractor-trailer came to rest in the front yard of the address of 2126 Highway 411. The tractor caught fire and was leaking diesel fuel in the yard. The fire spread from the tractor to two houses. Residents from both homes were able to leave without harm. The driver was still inside the tractor and was pronounced deceased upon arrival of first responders. The occupant from the passenger car was transported to Kennestone Hospital in Marietta.

Initially, the body of the tractor trailer driver was transported to the GBI crime lab for identification.  He was later identified as Roderick Eubanks, 48, of Hephzibah.

The driver of the passenger car is Benjamin Zarzana, 55, of Cartersville.
