Man struck by vehicle airlifted to a trauma center

Sunday night BCEMS responded to the area of Mission Rd and Robinson loop for a male struck by a vehicle. Upon arrival on the scene BCEMS found a male in his 30s that had been struck by a vehicle that was traveling on Mission Rd. The crew quickly assessed the patient and found a fractured collar bone and a flail chest. Air life 5 helicopter was requested for transport. The crew started advanced treatment measure before the helicopter arrived on the scene. The patient was transported by air to a trauma center.
