Bartow County EMS responded to an accident involving a moped on East Valley Road near U.S. 411 south of Rydal on Tuesday afternoon.
EMS found a male patient, face down, with a weak pulse and a severe injury. A medical helicopter took the man to Erlanger Health System in Chattanooga.
