Thurston St. Clair Crane
Bartow County deputies were dispatched to an area of I-75 southbound around mile marker 299 on Friday night in reference to a motorist assist.
A deputy made contact with Thurston Crane of Liberty, Tennessee and two juveniles. Crane said that he had been in a domestic situation in Cannon County Tennessee so he left to go to his family’s residence in LaGrange. While driving to LaGrange, he ran out of gas and didn’t have any money to get more.
Upon gathering information from the Cannon County Sheriff’s Office, they stated that the juveniles were reported missing by their mother. Crane was their biological father, but did not have custody of the children.
The children appeared dirty and unkempt and their clothes appeared to be torn and dirty. EMS did advised that they were all in good health.
Thurston Crane was arrested for two counts of interstate interference with custody.
The children were taken to the sheriff’s office until DFACS arrived. DFACS took custody of the children until a guardian arrived to pick them up.
