Georgia State patrol and Bartow County EMS responded to a single-vehicle accident on I-75 northbound near mile marker 295 this afternoon at around 1:40.
They found a disabled Lincoln Town Car in the tree line with a single occupant.
The initial indication is that the car was in the right lane traveling north and left the east side of the roadway, traveling into the trees.
The driver, 56-year-old Abel Chavez of Woodstock, was fatally injured.
The cause of the crash is undetermined. However, Chavez had several medical issues which could have contributed to the crash.
